[resolved] WP 2.7 Upgrade : fatal error on call to wp_remote_post() (6 posts)

I am a fairly new WP user. Upgraded today from 2.6.3. to 2.7.

I upgraded by copying files rather than overwriting entire directories so thought I would be fairly safe - did not lose any of my custom themes etc. However when I tried to log on to the site after the upgrade I got the following error message :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_remote_post() in /home/hart7511/public_html/peter/wp-includes/cron.php on line 201

    Any help would be appreciated.

Problem solved - did automatic upgrade via Fantastico Deluxe (supplied by hosting company) - all is OK.

I got this same error today trying to upgrade from 2.5.1 to 2.7

I don't have Fantastico Deluxe from my hosting company.

    Help!

Ersill and Jennifer it is best to start your own post. Tagging onto an older post, especially one that has be resolved, will often result in no help.

That said, if you are having the exact problem, i.e Fatal error: Call to undefined function, that means (almost every time) some file in your installation did not get copied correctly.

The best course of action to delete the wp-includes, wp-admin folders, and the uncustomized root files (not wp-config.php, etc.) and uncustomized files (not themes, etc.) in wp-content and using FTP, move replacement files to your server.
