I recently upgraded to WordPress 2.3 (from 2.2), and everything was working fine until I realized it was not sending emails to users when they would register. It is, however, sending the notification emails to the admin email (this leads me to believe that it is not a problem with the server, since it is able to send *some* emails). I've tried registering with 2 different email addresses, same result.
I have tried a CLEAN install, and am having the same problem. Any ideas?
I am having the same problem actually.
Try using the LOST PASSWORD Feature. It should return an error - paste that here.
i am having same problem.
Isnt here anyone who can help ?
Thanks in advance !

I am having the same problem. I have read lots of posts most seem to say there is a problem some of the time in having the email to the new user accepted by the outgong mail service. I don't really think that is it because I can watch my anti-virus filter jump up on the out going mail. It jumps up scans the first mail ... then nothing and I get a System 500 error. Obiously everyone can't be having this problem but I suspect it is centered on self hosters.

My new users click to register, but never recieve a confirmation email with generated password. It worked when I initially installed the program. But not now. Is there a workaround?
