I've installed a fresh WP2.01 on a linux/apache system. Evreything looks ok, but when I create some pages (as distinct from posts) and then try to link into them, I get the 'page not found' error.
Also - when I edit the pages and look at the preview - the same error occurs.
Any ideas?

Ok, I found this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/59502?replies=3 and apparently this problem may very well have to do with your permalink setting. I had *just* changed mine today, and sure enough, I chaged the setting back to default, and lo and behold I can see my newly created pages now.
However, there has got to be a way around this problem, b/c I'd definitely like to not be using the default permalink structure!

igonore my last comment, i deactivated a plugin and it worked.
Dammit- so there is a general issue with V2.01 then?
Support gods - any input on this?

I figured it out - for anyone who is interested.
I had my permalink structure set to %postname% - which apparently causes a problem with pages.. so the easiest way to avoid this was to use a more comprehensive permalink structure.. so I went with %year%/%postname% and everything worked ok.
Hope it's useful.
