WP 1.5, .htaccess and protection (3 posts)

    Hope this is the right forum for this.....

    OK, I know that WP1.5 will automatically write my .htaccess file for me when updating my permalinks. That's cool, I can deal with that. But, I'm planning on having an additional set for some functionality that I want to add. But, I don't want to have WP overwrite it should the struct change. Sooo.... I'm wondering if there is a way to protect parts of the .htaccess file from WP so that it doesn't get overridden.

    WP will only modify the parts between the "# BEGIN WordPress" and "# END WordPress" comments, so don't worry about it... unless you put stuff between the tags :).
