Just wondering if I am the last one to know about the live replies in this forum.
You know what I mean?
When you reply, you no more post the reply ang page reloads with a URL like http://wordpress.org/support/topic/topicnumber?postnumber
Your URL in the browser remains the same like the thread
like http://wordpress.org/support/topic/topicnumber
its just live now. like the ajax live shoutbox plugin.
Reply and check your self.
Good isn't it ?
Ajaxian goodness.
So, is this what it is like?
was wondering if the same idea can be used for blog comments.
I mean; without re-loading the whole page again...
I'm sure it could be used for blog comments.
In fact I'm sure I saw it in action somewhere can't remember where though :-(
Note I am not liking the delay in posting here...
That yellow and fade thing is really weird. But I am not getting a delay here.
Sometimes I click Send Post and it appears immediately, and sometimes...well, nothing seems to be happening, and I 'm left to wonder if I slipped the submit button (which occurs with my mouse from time to time), or the javascript is counting peanuts. The reason for my note above is I submitted the first post twice (hence editing occured).
Anyone wanna bet this is the cause for the increase in double (and triple, and quadruple) posts of late?
Yeah the nothing seems to happen thing is generally the response I get when posting. :( I guess I have live comments that don't actually have life..
So cool, I think I'll test it again

I can't get canary comments to work :( the JavaScript Console says all_comments has no properties.
