   Hello,

   I'm trying to upgrade my organization's website: http://www.lupenet.org and am wondering if I upload a new theme, will the current content disappear?

   Also, not as important, but any suggestions for a free theme that would work well w/ this non-profit website?

   No but as always, making a database backup before changing anything is always a good idea.

   No suggestions for a specific theme but you could just try browsing the Theme Directory by tags.
