Would like to submit a theme BUT... (13 posts)

I'm not real clear on rules for submitting and whatnot. A search didn't turn up anything. The theme is a 4 column and can be seen in action at http://www.ericragle.com

Anyone have any idea for guidelines or should I just zip it up and let it ride?

It's a bit ... odd .. in Firefox. You may want to take a look.

  3. Please register for your free WordPress Codex account and add it to the 4 column theme list here:

LOL! I guess it is. I'm guessing now isn't the time for a release then? ;)

    Thanks podz.

Definitely designed for IE. From where I sit, that 4th column is in Kansas! And the first column is invading the sovereign territory of the second, unless the second is undergoing a little subductive convergent plate movement (a little high school "Plate Tectonics" flashback ;-)

So should I submit it for IE users only? Or should I keep trying to tweak it into submission?

Er.... yeah, "bit odd" in opera8 as well.... you might like to take a look at stylegala.com for ideas about multiple columns above 3....

Yeah, will do. I guess I should have checked it out in other browsers before posting this. I got an email from someone who liked it and figured I could just offer it up. Sorry about that guys.

  9. So should I submit it for IE users only?

Some blog authors may be dedicated IE users, but almost every site these days has at least 10% or more non-IE readers/visitors.

Good point mac. I'll probably scrap the whole thing until I get it tweaked.

And, assuming my stats for referrals from this site are correct, the majority of users here are non-IE users. Help with future problems would probably be more forthcoming if you were able to design for browsers beyond IE.

See that's the thing, I'm not really a designer. I've always enjoyed using everyone else's work. :)

But again, thanks to all for the comments.

I do have the same theme set up on my testing blog as a two column that looks pretty good in FireFox.
