i forgot to add that when I typed in the domain name of my pal, it was on gotonames that I did so, and got that error message.
@neotutorials, there wasn't any means to enter my username and password, since the server will not allow me to open any files online. As I say, it's very odd that I can edit files, and yet I can't OPEN any of them.
Additional Note: I inquired on a different forum where the conclusion was that there must be a serious problem with the server in question. Since I cannot even upload the simplest html file there and get it to open. So it isn't just WordPress files. I'd like to contact someone at the webhost, if possible, and find out what they might have to tell me.
