I am having trouble getting the background image to show up. I upload the image and nothing happens… I am using just the basic WP 2013 theme. I am assuming that there is a background color set somewhere and I need to set that to transparent or something so the background image can show through..
If anyone has ran into this issue, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Does the image URL get added to the settings field in the admin?
Yes, but I have the standard theme set up and I’m not sure where to override the standard background color of page posts so that it will be able to display the background image.
Is the background color getting displayed on top of the image?
It works fine with 2012. But not with 2013 yet… Here is what I found on the subject..
Note: Twenty Thirteen does not have support for custom background image or color because the layout is 100% wide—meaning a background color would not show up on most display sizes.
Has anyone figured out how to work around 2013 theme to make the background image show through?
I don’t quite understand the quote from the developers “the layout is 100% wide—meaning a background color would not show up on most display sizes”. I can make my background image large enough to fill out a very wide screen, so I don’t see the problem.
