    Hi Don,

You can definitely use the Menu Swapper with UberMenu. It will not change anything about UberMenu, however.

You can still use only one UberMenu per page

You can still make as many UberMenus as you want as long as they exist on different pages.

So, you could have a variety of UberMenus appearing on a variety of pages using the Menu Swapper plugin; but you still can’t have 2 UberMenus on 1 page – there isn’t any plugin that will change that.

    Hope that helps 🙂

    Chris — OHHHHH!
megamenu’s site makes it sound like ubermenu can only have a GRAND total of 2 menus. Period.
    Whew. Feel better, thanks!

Any suggestions on associating an ubermenu with a specific template? Might be a nice feature for some … just an idea. -D

You’re welcome 🙂 Is there specific text in the product description that you found confusing? Perhaps I can make it clearer for future customers.

For template-specific menus, it’s generally best to create a special header-{custom}.php with a distinct theme_location for those templates and then use get_header(); however, I am considering making a more advanced Menu Swapper in the future that will allow you to associate theme locations based on conditions like that 🙂 Depends on how much people like the Swapper.

Hi Chris — Yes, on the wpmegamenu home page, under caveats, you have this:
“Please note that you can only have one Mega Menu per page. You could have 2 mega menus on your site, but only if they never occur on the same page. The settings are global for all UberMenus.”

In other words, when I read this I interpreted it to mean that I can have a GRAND TOTAL of ONLY 2 mega menus on the ENTIRE site. This impression was reinforced with the following sentence “… settings are global …” So that really made me think you were trying unequivocally to say “only 2. Period.”

But if I can have one Mega menu per page, and an unlimited number of menus sitewide, then something like this might be more better:

“Please note that you can have an unlimited number of Mega Menus on your site; however, only one mega menu may appear on any one page.”

And then a couple of example screenshots right there might make things clearer and useful for the user.

    Hi Don,

Great, thanks for your feedback! I understand the confusion, and I have updated the text to reflect this. This is the new text, which I hope will be clearer for future customers:

Please note that you can only have one UberMenu per page. You could have multiple UberMenus on your site, but only if they never occur on the same page. The settings are global for all UberMenus.

    Thanks again!

    Great job, Chris!

May I humbly suggest you include a sentence at the end of this, like so:

” …settings are global for all UberMenus. Works with <link>Menu Swapper!</link>”

    -D

    Good idea, I will add:

You can change the menu that appears on an individual Page or Post using the Menu Swapper plugin.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hy There

Thank you very very much for this very cool piece of code 🙂 I also use UberMenu but if i use the Menu Swapper, i cant use UberMenu. i Have a few points in the menu with Drop down like about us which contains Pictures, About Us, Location and so far. After i set the “special Menu” on a specific side, the drop down is blocked, and just the General Name “About us” is shown. how can i fix that ?

Thank you very much for your Answer and thanks again for this awsome plugin.

    Hi Tablet2013,

There are two things I can think of:

    1. Once you create a new Theme Location, you still need to check that theme location under “Activate UberMenu Theme Locations” in Apperance > Menus – otherwise it won’t be affected by UberMenu.

    2. If your dropdowns are showing behind other content, you likely have a z-index issue.

If you need any further help, please post your questions in the UberMenu Support Forum with a link to your site and we’ll take a look 🙂

    Best,

    Chris
