Works with Firefox but not Microsoft IE (8 posts)

I am using the latest WP install (2.6.3), on an Apache server, PHP 5 with cForms 9.1 and the DeepBlue 1.1 theme.

I have several pages (that show as TABS), and some of these pages have a form in them, and some don't. The only thing I see in Microsoft IE is the Home page, if I click on any of the tabs (where the page has a form), I only get the header (with the body cut off). If the page does not have a form, it displays properly. Here's the error message I get (if I double click the yellow error code icon):

Problems with this Web page might prevent it from being displayed properly or functioning properly. In the future, you can display this message by double-clicking the warning icon displayed in the status bar.

    Line: 2
    Char: 200
    Error: Expected ';'
    Code: 0
    URL: http://www.......

If I use Firefox, everything works fine.

For cForms, I am using preset forms that I created myself.

    Any ideas?

At times, Firefox is smart enough to fix errors like that so that you can see the page. If another debugger (IE) is telling you that you're missing a semicolon, my best recommendation would be to track down that line and see if you really do need one.

I did look, and the error message does not make sense. I noticed some other posts in here complaining about errors that started appearing only with IE7 when the update to 2.6.3 was done.

josephmo, did you copy and paste from MSWord to your WordPRess post? Because plenty of folks have come to forum with the same problem of single pages cut off after header. If you did copy and paste from MSWord to WP, then clean up code.

I used the utility provided by WP to cut and paste from Word: cur from Word, go to the WP utility, paste it there, and then click on insert. I did the same with the Home page and it presents fine. This is not the problem. This shows only on pages using cForms 9.1 and WP 2.6.3 (did not appear in 2.6.2.) and IE7

I'm getting the same error above. How did you resolve this? I tried it on another website without the mods that we made to the theme and I'm getting the same thing.

    Thanks in advance.

I had to delete the pages where I had pasted from Word, and re-do it, this time making sure I copied my text into notepad, and then from notepad, I pasted into WP. It worked from that point on.

ok thanks. i was actually using textpad instead of word and re-did it but we're still getting the error. i even tried to install the original files and used deep blue on my other site and it's still getting the error.
