    Does Page View Counts work with caching plugin like W3 Total Cache

    Tested 100% compatible with W3 Total cache and WP Super cache

    and/or proxies like Varnish and/or Squid?

    Sorry don’t know about that, have never used either. If you do would be great if you could test and give us your feedback.

    Is the page view data stored in the database and if yes, in which tables

    Yes – 2 tables are created by the plugin: wp_pvc_daily, wp_pvc_total

    how many queries does the plugin add per view?

    3 queries per view: insert into wp_pvc_daily table , select wp_pvc_total, update (insert) wp_pvc_total – loads after the page or post content.
