cant download in admin area. why? (5 posts)

    one site I run it works fine. on another site, im able to create the backup but cant download it from the admin area. I have to use ftp to download.

    any ideas why this is? using version 2.5... wordpress 3.8.1

    if I click download button in the admin area it goes to this page which is blank.

    Thanks for the review!

    When you add the directories to the exclude list and preview does it show the list of files that are going to be excluded?

    Are you adding the trailingslash to the exclude rule, that's required to exclude directories currently.

    For example if you want to exclude wp-content/uploads you would need to enter wp-content/uploads/ into the exclude rule field.

    its working now. I was entering the info wrong.

    to exclude folders in root type in:

    foldername/

    just like that. now to test, but I think I got it.

    yep works fine, other than the close button in the exclude window goes off screen and you cant click it.

    Thats good to hear.

    I'll improve how the modals work on small screens in the next release.
