• I’m fairly new to WP but had specific ideas of what I wanted to do. I’ve played with CMS systems before and have always ended up using a web page that then directs to the blog/CMS.

When I started my new site I decided on WP and liked that I could use a static page, but how to post the most recent posts right there on the front? After some searching I came across Posts to Page and liked what I saw.

While I’m a newbie to WP I’ve been using forum software and manually creating my own sites for quite a few years. I’m not an expert, and I hate CSS (old school for me since I remember before there was the Web), but this was pretty straight forward. The instructions are decent, but just about all the info you need for variables and configuration is on the plugin’s site.

The author is good about getting back to posts there. I had a request to exclude certain categories and it will be contained in the next release.

Beyond all that, what can I say other than it does what it is meant to do … put your posts on any page you want. If you want to have a page that lists all your posts and part of the post itself you can do that. If you want a page for each category you can do that too.
