• Works as expected, just as easy to setup as it was previously. As soon as it was installed, the “Integration” tab showed up on the WooCommerce settings and then I was rock-n-rollin.

    Hi Tim,

I’m one of the folks for which this plugin is not working. Mind if I ask you a few questions about your setup to see if I can troubleshoot my own situation. Thanks.

Great. I’m assuming you’re running WC 2.1.5, but are you setting it up using a custom “Thank You” page, or are you using the default Checkout page?

Hey Lee – Yeah, using 2.1.5

I haven’t setup any custom pages for this, so no need to use any code elements. But the GA code is inserted using WC functions called on the Thank You page, so which page you’re using is irrelevant.

Are you seeing the “Integrations” tabs in WC after you’ve installed the Plugin?

Yes, seeing the integration tab just fine. I have not clicked on the checkbox reading “Add tracking code to your site. You don’t need to enable this if using a 3rd party analytics plugin” because I’ve inserted that code in the theme header template. If I checked this box, it would place the code in the footer, which is not the best place for it, according to Google. I do have the last two checkboxes checked — “Add eCommerce tracking code to the thankyou page” and “Add event tracking code for add to cart actions.”

However, when I run a test order, there is no separate “Thank you” page — just an “order received” page. The resulting URL is https://domain.com/checkout/order-received/xxxx/?key=wc_order_xxxxxx and the page title reads <h1>Checkout</h1>
<p>Thank you. Your order has been received.</p>

But when I check source code for this page, there’s no GA product code seen anywhere, like there was before I upgraded to 2.1.5. Something is keeping WC from putting the GA product code into the footer of the Order Received page. And I can’t figure it out.

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for your help. I don’t know how this resolved itself, but it now seems to be working. Thanks for your help!

Hey Lee – Wow, frustrating indeed!

Have you over-written any WC templates to your local theme? If so, have you overwritten the thank-you page template and it’s out of date?

You can check which templates you’ve overwritten and if they are out of date by going to the “WooCommerce > System Status” page. Scroll to the bottom and it will list out what templates you’ve overridden.

Also, have you overridden any default WC functions in your local themes “functions.php” file? If so, have you overwritten the function that deals with inserting this code?

But, just saw that it’s resolved. Happy to know it’s all fixed. Are you using any kind of Caching plugin? That could have caused it as well.

    (@alpinelakesdesign)

No caching on this site. Not sure what caused the delay, but I do very much appreciate your willingness to help. If you ever run into a problem with WC, just send me an email if you want help troubleshooting, though I’m apparently not very good at it 🙂
