We have yet to see reasonable performance with this plugin activated on our site. First page loads are particularly slow (10-20 seconds) with subsequent page loads being much faster. With the plugin deactivated we consistently get first page loads in 2-6 seconds.

TubePress is unable to cause such a performance hit. I'm sorry that you experienced problems on your website. We are always happy to help diagnose bottlenecks, and have a section in our documentation on how to precisely measure and improve site performance.

Thank you for the quick reply and great resources, Eric. We have tried a few suggestions so far without significant improvements in our results. It's probably something on our end, though. We will keep trying.
