[resolved] Work for Hire--Need help with theme switcher (3 posts)

    Hi there,
    I'm a developer and have done 2 themes for one of my clients. I'm unable to get the theme switcher to work (for the comments page, it reverts back to default theme) for her. She's a personal (not commercial) blog client, so my b udget isn't huge, but I'm willing to pay for someone to help.

    Quick FYI: I'm using Ryan's theme switcher. Also, her files are located at domainname.com/wordpress but we have the blog rerouted through header modifications to domainname.com. I have a feeling this is causing some cookie issues.

    Feel free to email reese AT m2webstudios.com.

    That's an un-necessary thing, it is simpler to use this:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

    Do you have all the template files in your theme? E.g. not having a comments.php template WP will use the one from the default theme.

    Issue resolved. For people's info, you may need to change "siteurl" in ryan's plugin file to the domain name of your site (no www or http, just domainname.com). That resolved my issues. Moshu helped lead me there :)

    Here's an example of a line in Ryan's file that I modified:

    $urlinfo = parse_url(get_settings('siteurl'));

    changed to:

    $urlinfo = parse_url(get_settings('domainname.com'));

    (Obviously, put in your real domain name and not domainname.com :) )
