i ran into a problem with my wampserver (localhost), so i copied my WWW folder (which contains my site and wordpress), un- and re-installed wampserver. Now, despite copying my old WWW file to the new wampserver location, when i use dashboard/wordpress i cannot see any of my old content (pages, images, etc)
(i know these items still exist, as i can open the folders adn manually look at them! I just cannot make wordpress find them and am going insane!!)
Hi josephmgabriel,
sounds like you missed to backup the database.
Wordpress stores all the page content and more in a database.
Please take a look here: http://www.ehow.com/how_5981373_do-up-mysql-database-wampserver2_.html

But I did back it up, I backed up my entire WWW folder.. but when i reinstall wamp, and move my www folder to where it belongs in new wamp directory, it just doesn't show me my pages on my site! wordpress knows who i am, it has all my old plugins right there working fine, but none of my content!
I don't use WAMP, but the info on he linked site rcalls another folder for the database...
