I noticed that, though I always check "This user should be notified of follow-up posts via email" when I post a comment to the WordPress.org forums, I never receive the comments via email.
Is this just me? My email address is correct in my WordPress.org profile.
All I can suggest is that you check your spam filters. Or try using a different email address. It's always worked for me on the odd times that I've used it.

And wouldn't you know that YOUR reply came through to my email. So it must be on my end ... Thanks for helping me figure that out. (Sheepishly written.)
