• Is there somewhere that I can report someone having a bunch of accounts vote that my plugin isn’t working, and that their competing (ripoff) plugin is?

  • How do you know who voted?

Personally though I dislike the current system, I rarely get people to say it works so the figures are too inaccurate to be of any use. IMO it should be removed and real stats gathered from the number of people actually using it.

Potentially plugins@wordpress.org for abuse of the plugin system, if you have evidence.

For what it’s worth, it sounds like future “Broken” votes will require an explanation of the problem and future star ratings will require a brief written review after the “3.org” improvements are rolled out.

    Hi,

    I am running a blog http://www.mogaraafulalaa.com (मोगरा फुलला). Recently I saw a website – http://bokyasatbande.com (बोक्या सातबंडे) which is hosted by ThePlanet.com and powered by WordPress.org.

This anonymous owner of http[ link removed ].com is publishing my site contents without my knowledge and credits to me and also publishes google ads. The site owner has not provided contact information so I tried to leave a comment on the site with clear message that if my articles are not removed from this site, I will be forced to take legal action against the site owner but neither had I got any response on my email id nor is my comment published.

I have realised now that the website owner is publishing my contents with the intention of content theft and harassment. This website owner does not write anything of his own but publishing articles of several Marathi language bloggers without their knowledge and credits to them and the site owner is earning through Google ads published on his site.

Here are some examples of content theft. Please check the date on both the article links and comment details as well:

I am going to log a complaint of http://bokyasatbande.com to Mumbai Cyber Crime Cell, Maharashtra, India and I think it is my duty to inform you about it.

    Thank you,

The WordPress software is simply software for posting. These sites are not associated with WordPress as a company. You’d need to follow up with the site owner, or its web hosting provider.
