    Hi,

I have a wordpress.com account, and would like to stream photos from my flickr account, using the flickrpress plugin, if possible.

It says I need wordpress 2.9.2 to do this, but when I tried to upgrade, it prompted me to go to a sample config file to modify and upload to a server with my db name and p/w, etc.... I don't know where to upload to??

How do I do this? Is it because I need to have a wordpress.org account for this to work? I would like to be able to just use my wordpress.com account to do this. Can I just upgrade my existing wordpress.com account or do I need to open a wordpress.org account and start from scratch?

    thanks for your help!

You can't "upgrade" WordPress software on WordPress.COM. They are by the way running at least 2.9.2 but it is WordPress.MU (Multi-User)

WordPress.ORG does not do any hosting of blogs, it is the repository of the WordPress software.

If you want to move off WordPress.COM, you need to get a site name, sign-up for a host then load the WordPress.ORG software and then you become your own webmaster (or you can hire someone to do the work for you)

This should answer some more questions: http://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

This forum is to help self hosted sites running WordPress.org software.
