@alseymour - Is your API key still intact? I tried reinstalling the WordPress.com Stats plugin and wordpress is rejecting my API.

Is sitll not working - I get the same message
Update -
My Graph is showing Hits, but nothing else...
Top Post - NO
Most Active - NO
As for my API key...
Playing stupid here for a second...
My Akismet API Key seems fine, or should I say, it is there...
Was NOT aware there was an API Key for Stats (or are they the same...)
Might be a good time to consider an additional stats solution. Personally, I use Google Analytics as well as WordPress Stats.
@DanOfTheDay - I'm right there with you on that, but GA is NOT live data...
@alseymour - Actually, it is fairly live. The current day's stats are not shown by default, but you can change the time window to view them. I have found data shows up within at least one hour, if not sooner.
Put my name on the list as-well.
This so annoying, what went wrong?
I have the same problem too.. Mine says
Your WordPress.com account, xxxxxxxx is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.
:( pls help...
I've got this problem on 2 sites.
Your WordPress.com account, xxxxxxxx is not authorized to view the stats of this blog.
Same problem. Make an announcement already, and just quit saying "see the other threads" when there has been NO official answer in any of the threads that I can find.
Everything was working JUST FINE then suddenly I'm no longer authorized to view my own stats!
I had the same problem, installed the Jetpack plug-in, and now my two blogs are working fine. I actually like the Jetpack stats display better than the WP one, and also they load much quicker.
If you intend to install Jetpack make sure that you've upgraded to the latest version of WP (version 3.1) Jetpack only works on versions 3.0.5 and higher.
I still "running" on 1 of 4 cylinders...
and have noticed my site does not seem as quick as it once was...
Serious considering dumping dump WP Stats for Jetpack...
Update -
Removed Stats...
Gone to JetPack and things seem to be back to normal!
Yeah!
- Andrew
So you have removed WP Stats pluging and gone with JetPack?
I wish wp stats come back I dont want to lose all my previous stats.
Is anyone looking into this?
Thanks
Luisiher
@Luisiher -
1) Disabled at the moment;
2) You don't, or I didn't...
+ There are some other 'things' that one gets, so it seems to be a nice trade off...
for the moment...
A-)
Yes you are right. I have tried JetPack and the stats are good it even track previous stats. So that's fine
Thanks
I have the same problem. Add my name ... I'll try JetPack until issue is resolved.
Had the same problem:-
I deleted the WP Stats plugin and installed Jetpack. My stats now work.
One has to wonder if "they" are trying to kill-off WP Stats by the lack of response in favor of Jetpack... Automattic does both...
Believe it or not, they're trying to provide a better service longer term - which is still free for most users.
I hope so, but not responding to repeated posts does not instill good will...
Who do you expect to respond? This forum is staffed by volunteers - not staff from automattic.com who developed Jetpack and the previous wp-stats plugin.
Yes from automattic.com!
I am paying for a service, although not much, but a simple response would be nice:
EXAMPLE:
Some users have been reporting an issue, and we are aware of it, and are working on a resolution.
If automattic is mothballing Stats, then just say so, and let the Users know what direction automattic is going so we can plan for the future instead of trying to figure out what is wrong!
How much time do you think folks have wasted trying to figure out if there was a conflict with their site plug-ins? or personal code?
Based on other User posts, there seems to have been a great deal of frustration with the lack of communications...
I know the forums are run by volunteers, and my hats off to them!
(I too volunteer on several website forums, and know what a thankless job it can be..)
Bottom line, just communicate!
end rant...
I agree with alseymour. Communication would be wonderful. If Automatic is dropping WordPress Stats, JUST SAY SO!
Hi, everybody. There have been a lot of threads here on stats issues and a lot of support tickets on WordPress.com. I apologize for our failure to respond to everyone.
We are fixing issues on our end of the stats system. The old Stats plugin is meant to keep working. These issues are not our way of encouraging you to switch to Jetpack; they are the result of bugs introduced in code written by Automattic engineers like myself.
It is something of a coincidence that switching to Jetpack has resolved the issue for some people. While we are pleased to see people adopt the new plugin, we are also working to restore service to everyone using both plugins. Thanks for bearing with us.
