This is the error message that I receive when trying to install wordpress.com stats plugin:

    -------------------------------------------

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_uninstall_hook() in /home/khandor/www/khandorssportsblog.com/wordpress-2.5.1/wp-content/plugins/stats.php on line 1291

    -------------------------------------------

How do I fix this problem?

Does anyone know why I am getting this fatal error message when I attempt to install this wordpress stats plugin?

Upgrading to a newer version of wordpress is not an option for me, so it's important that I get this plugin re-activated, asap.

It's not compatible with your version of WordPress.

    Thanks, esmi.

What version of wordpress is the wordpress.com stats plugin compatible with?

    Version 3.0, I think.

    Okay.

I have now installed an older version of the wordpress.com stats plugin [1.6.1]. The new problem is that when I try to activate this plugin, I get the followinging error message:

Error from last API Key attempt:
The owner of that API Key (*******) is not on the access list for this blog (5937493). Stats was installed using a different API key. The owner of the original key can add users to the access list, or you can contact WordPress.com support.

I don't understand this message since the API Key I used was the same.

Okay, this is what I did:

    1. Got help from a firend to update to the latest version of wordpress.
    2. Installed jetback plugin.
    3. Everything seems to be working fine, once again.

Hopefully things stay this way for the foreseeable future.
