    Nothing, necessary. Unless you delete your .com blog, it’ll keep on existing, just as you left it.

    This is probably a silly question, but how would I go about deleting it?

    No problem. I’m not really sure, but somewhere on your user dashboard on wordpress.com you have the option. If you don’t find it, ask in the .com forums, and they’ll help you find it. 🙂
