   What happens to my WordPress.com site when when I move to a self-hosted site?

   Nothing, necessary. Unless you delete your .com blog, it'll keep on existing, just as you left it.

   No problem. I'm not really sure, but somewhere on your user dashboard on wordpress.com you have the option. If you don't find it, ask in the .com forums, and they'll help you find it. :)
