   I was curious as to the percentage of sites on the web using WordPress? Anyone know where to find statistics like that?

   trigmed: Thanks for the info. I'm more curious about the .org. I mean the meta always has the commented "please leave for stats" right? Who has the stats?

   Check out http://wordpress.org/download/counter/ and extrapolate based on different assumptions
   Btw, many delete the meta generator WordPress version line in theme files for security purposes like I do.
