I'm using a Mac with Snow Leopard software, 10.6.2. When I try to upgrade to the 2.9.1 -- now 2.9.2 -- I always get "Installation failed." Is this because it is not compatible with Snow Leopard?
Or is it a browser problem?

I'm assuming you're not running WordPress locally on your mac, but hosted on the internet.
I use snow leopard and have no problem upgrading any of the installations I look after.
It's most likely a server problem, such as the server running out of memory. Try disabling all plugins before upgrading - if that still doesn't help, increase the amount of memory available to WordPress.
My upgrade stopped in the middle of the upgrade. Now nothing works. I get this message on my site. "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute". Been like this for over 15 minutes now. Any idea what happened, or what I need to do? ty in advance.
