Hey you guys. I actually got this to work.. I am just wondering what kind of complications might arise from this.

I installed WordPress to my domain name: mydomain DOT com

And then I basically just dropped a custom index.html file inside the directory folder for that domain.

Is there anything wrong with doing that?

I see inside this folder there is also a file generated by WordPress called: index.php

Are there gonna be any conflicts between those too files?

My main concern with doing this is I want to have my own custom sales page as a front page but I want to utilize WordPress as a blog for sub-pages.

Also I was wondering if plugins that keep track of visitors such as Count Per Day, will still give me an accurate reading of my homepage visits with my custom index.html file as the homepage.

If any of you know more about doing this, please give me any insight you have

    thank you

index.html file with the file that will open when you go to your domain name and wordpress opens with index.php file so the problem will be how will open wordpress. Normally you can not have two index files in a folder.
You can move wordpress in folder if you like.
