Hiya, I’ve got a blog running at http://www.starlightbreaker.co.uk

The last thing I remember is trying to upload a image via the built in uploader, then it said ‘crunching’ then the site stopped. At first I thought it was my hosting, so I left it a while. I tried again, but still no result, in Firefox it gives a blank screen and in Internet Explorer it gives a page not found.

My question is, is there anybody who knows what might have gone wrong? I suspect given that every site is different no one will be able to help me, in which case I’d like to ask if someone could guide me in reinstalling WordPress without losing any of my data, i.e. posts and uploaded images?

    Thanks!

    Billy

Right, I’ve identified the Mysql database as the problem, I’ve set up a new database and its running again. My problem is that all my posts are on the old database. I’ve exported the information and then imported it into the new one, but theres no change in wordpress.

    Help?

Okay, I was an idiot and put the wrong details in the wp-config.php file. But now when I try to load the site the same problem occurs, so something in my mysql file is screwing wordpress.

Fixed it by deleting the settings part of the database. I’ve lost all my settings and a few other bits and bobs, but atleast my content is salvaged – yay!
