• I run a blog at: http://www.MySite.com/Blog but lots of links point to http://www.MySite.com/wordpress. They still work but looks messy.

I’ve read the article on changing “WordPress address” and the “blog address”. This has fixed alot of the links but “Edit” and “System Links” on the main blog page still point to /wordpress. Links such as “News, Comment, Archive” all point to /Blog.

Any idea why some links are fine and others still point to /wordpress?

    Many thanks,
    M.

  • Where is the blog actually INSTALLED.

If it’s installed in /wordpress, but you want it to be /blog, then you want to read Moving_WordPress.

    Thanks for your reply.

It is installed on a Windows Server at this path:
    D:\Blogging\wordpress2

Which is strange since wordpress2 doesn’t show in any of the links. Do I need to move it to a folder called /blog?

    Regards,
    M.

If using IIS, it may be configured to have a different virtual name for that directory. You’d see that in your “internet information services” applet. That’s the name that should be used in the two URI fields at Options -> General.

If it’s not where you want it, again, see Moving_WordPress.

I checked the IIS virtual settings and that points to my “Blog” directory. And wordpress is installed in “wordpress2” – so i don’t see any reason some of the links (admin, login) on the right hand side still point to /wordpress/ (the links work – but all other links on the page eg- comments – point to the correct path “Blog”.

    Any other ideas?

Do you think a clean install might solve this problem?
