Hey! We don’t know of anybody who did this previously.
If you have a budget, we usually redirect such custom queries to http://www.codeable.io or http://www.wpquestions.com
If you find a way, please do share for others!
Just a final thought: you could modify the registration form of WordPress to look like a signup form.
Thank you!
Yes, I am exploring that possibility (altering the WordPress Registration form to look like a sign up form (with name and email only).
Will post my findings.
Cheers
Yes, it would be nice of course if this existed. One thing I will note, is that if it has to be done manually, the export subscriber list function is helpful.
As an afterthought, this may be elongated… but I was experimenting with Paid Membership Pro. Personally, I could not get it to work for me for other reasons. It doesn’t install on my wordpress now. I don’t know what’s wrong.
However, it has an “addon” with Mailpoet. If memory serves me… through cross-function… it worked. Don’t hold me to it, but I thought that if people registered for Mailpoet… they were users in both Membership Pro and wp users. In other words, Paid Membership Pro was a “bridge” that somehow made the cross-function work… if memory serves me. Sorry if I’m wrong… but may be worth a try.
That was a good program for membership… and it has crossover power when using mailpoet and woocommerce because they interlink. But, it just didn’t work for me personally to install the program for whatever reason.
Thank you Laura for the tips!
Interesting to hear that Paid Membership Pro somehow acted as a bridge! Cool!
Unfortunately I am stuck with S2Member for now as the whole site is already built around it!
Also, I can no longer install MailPoet on my websites. When I activate it, all website pages go blank. Such a pity, because I LOVE MailPoet and was counting on using it heavily in my upcoming websites!
Support has been great trying to find a solution, but so far we’ve had no luck.
