   Can wordpress be used to create a membership e-commerce site?
   I will have a large database of products 50K +

   I have never used wordpress before. Is it very hard to set up?

   Do you want to sell memberships as well as products? I think WP E-commerce does that, but not 100% sure.

   Well firstly you will need to check the details of any plugins you use to make sure they can do what you want.

   So as I suggested WP eCommerce you might want to find their forums, and ask them directly.

   However personally with 50k products I'd usually suggest you look for a dedicated shopping cart.

   yes you can of course create an ecommerce site with WordPress.
