• Here’s my environment;

    Digital Ocean Ubuntu 14.04LTS droplet VPS
    PHP Zend Engine v2.5.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies
    with Zend OPcache v7.0.3, Copyright (c) 1999-2014, by Zend Technologies

    mySQL Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.37, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 6.3

    The site currently binds via its dedicated IP. I have however, migrated a domain over to digital ocean also, which is correctly resolving.

    However, all the links beyond when you visit mariodecristofanosblog.com revert to the IP address.

    Permalinks are set correctly and I’ve attempted to move it into a folder called mariodecristofanosblog.com on the server & then changing the URL settings in the dashboard.

    That didn’t work.

    I want it so the URLs are for example, mariodecristofanosblog.com/my-post and not 111.111.111.111/my-post

    Could you offer any advice please?

    an update:

    If I manually specify the home URL as http://www.mariodecristofanosblog.com via PHPMYadmin, then the dashboard shows the domain instead of the IP. Having said that, when you browse the site live, it doesn’t work. With this setting in place, the site doesn’t resolve at the root, when you type mariodecristofanosblog.com in the address bar, so I changed it back to the IP for now.

    I’ve checked all the online guides, (there’s a post on this site very similar to my problem, but following the instructions hasn’t worked)

    No matter what I do, I cannot get this to work. Don’t suppose anyone has any advice do they?

    Any chance someone has any advice on this? I’m more desperate than the Greek economy
