   How do I get WordPress to use SFTP rather than FTP?

   Looks like if you enable that in apache that WordPress would make that available, at least according to http://devioustree.co.uk/2009/02/21/auto-update-wordpress-with-sftp/

   Also might install http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/core-control/
