it seems my twenty ten style.css is overriding my sites stylesheet (default.css). i'm getting a slight nav bar difference in my two separate headers. the site header and the header.php file. i integrated my site with the loop.

i don't think i can change the name of the wordpress style.css and it's going to be my index.pho file for my site. is that what you're saying?

Nope - rename your custom css file to =>style.css as it is what is being called by your theme.
