I'm using a template that will not allow me to use plug-ins or widgets. I want it to show parent/child pages and it will not. I have downloaded plug-in and they do not work but I'm sure it's due to the template. Does anyone know how to modify the template to allow it to do so? I know very little about it. I have changed the titles in the side bar & added the links. You can view my site at http://www.treasurygarden.com
Thank you.
Can't imagine a theme (assuming that's what you mean by template) that will not allow plugins. Might be time for a new theme if that is the case.
But, assuming you can install plugins, then look at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/template-tag-shortcodes/
That way you can put the [wp_list_pages depth=1] in a post.
Thank you! And sorry I did mean theme. I'm new at wordpress and still learning.
I installed the plugin and will give it a try. I have had lots of problems with this theme. All of the widgets within wordpress are turned off because they won't show up anyway. The adds on the side bar I had to put directly in the php file. I know just enough to be dangerous. Know I know that if the theme doesn't except them it's probably not a good one.
