WordPress Stats and Google Analytics (2 posts)

I'm trying to setup Google Analytics and I suspect there is a conflict with WordPress Stats because GA isn't working. I used http://www.sitescanga.com to check and it's saying none of my pages are setup correctly.

Here's what I did: I setup my GA account, then ran the Ultimate Google Analytics plugin. When I view my Page Source I can see the code is inserted, but the GA code is followed by the WordPress Stats code, which is then followed by the closing body tag. I think the GA code has be be immediately before the closing body tag to work, is that true? So then I thought I could remove the WordPress Stats code, but simply deactivating the plugin doesn't do it.

So I guess my questions are:
    1. Does the Google Analytics code have to be immediately before the closing body tag? Or can the WordPress Stats code be after the GA code?
    2. How do I remove the WordPress Stats code?

As you can tell, my technical expertise is sorta newbie level. Thanks.

Not really. You can infact put it in your footer.

    2. How do I remove the WordPress Stats code?
    Deactivate the plugin.
