• a wordpress site i recently created by redesigning the theme was completed changed to go to a bible site, whack.com.

what i noticed was some additional files added.

first i replaced the site with a back up i had.

    then….

i went through and changed all the passwords both for the server and any that dealt with wordpress. – still have to change database passwords.

does anyone have any professional advice as to why this happened and how i can prevent it from happening again?

Remain calm and carefully follow this guide. When you’re done, you may want to implement some (if not all) of the recommended security measures.

thanks… i’ll look into these. I’ve changed most of the passwords except the database passwords.

i’ve searched through the web on how to change the sql database passwords but with no success.

You’ll change the database password through your hosting provider’s control panel. Just make sure that you put the new password in your wp-config.php file.
