wordpress sidebar widgets lacking in capability

The sidebar widget allows me to drag and drop various groups such as Meta, Recent Posts, Blogroll etc into either sidebar. However example: login and registration were placed in blogroll by default but I want it to be in Meta – widget does not allow this? How do I move item from one group to another. Now once I have it in Meta how can I now shift the order of selection up or down.
