    Hello all,

I was wondering whether you could spare a few minutes to help me.
I'm new to wordpress and have recently installed Yoast version 1.4.7.

My question is regarding the following section:
Titles & Metas > Home > You can determine the title and description for the front page by editing the front page itself >

I have edited the SEO title and Meta description however when I do a Google search the same text isn't showing up in the SERP.

Does this have something to do with my Post Types settings. I have left these as the default settings so for pages my title template is:
    %%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%

For every page I want to be able to edit the SEO title and Meta description so do I have the wrong title template?

Thank you for your help and advice - I really appreciate it.

You don't want those types of titles in your pages.
Go to PERMALINKS and do custom one so the correct titles of your pages show up for SEO. Use this:

    /%category%/%postname%/

Are you referring to the permalinks section?
If so there are only tick boxes?
