I believe I have a virus in my self-hosted WordPress blog. I have been researching this all week and I cannot come up with anything in regard to repair.

Is there anyone out there that can help me?

My WordPress blog is here: WP Redux

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Have you contacted your hosing company?

  3. If you find that your virus is not related to the thread that wilkies0106aw linked to, remain calm and follow this guide:

You are not crazy. However your virus scan should pick it up right away. As for the forum post you are referring to, it is not that particular problem.

I have contacted GoDaddy and they say that in the past few days there were many malware attacks. I just want to know how to fix it, this is extremely frustrating.

    Thanks,

  5. If it is one of the GoDaddy malware attacks, the thread that wilkies0106aw linked to contains links to several step-by-step guides and even some automated scripts to remove the malware. If not, follow the guide that I posted.

I believe the virus is the "holasionweb" virus. Some info here.

Ok, now that I have identified it. I still have NO IDEA how to fix it.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
