   Hi everyone

   This is a strange issue which I'm noticing since many months.

   I'm using "WordPress Related Posts 1.2" plugin by denishua since long time:

   A few months back, I got notification in WordPress Admin Panel that a new version of this plugin is available.

   I upgraded to new version and Related Posts stopped showing. When I checked plugin details, to my surprise the plugin was replaced by a new plugin by new user "Thamizhchelvan":

   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-related-posts/

   I immediately restored the older plugin files to fix the issue.

   Now since then, there is no new version available for plugin by denishua and WordPress admin panel is still showing new version 2.0 available.

   So whats the exact issue? Why a different plugin is causing this incorrect notification of update available?

   Is it any kind of scam?
