WordPress-powered webcomic?

Someone I know has asked me to set up some way for them to run a webcomic and I was wondering whether or not it would be possible to adapt WordPress to run it. They have very little knowledge of HTML so I want to use some kind of blogging/CMS software and WordPress is the one that I’m most familiar with, so is there a plugin or something designed for this purpose?

He’s either going to want something like Penny Arcade where it has news posts on the main page and comics on their own seperate page, or something like PVP where the newest comic is at the top of the main page with news posts underneath. I don’t really know enough PHP to write a bespoke solution but if there’s something similar I probably know enough to adapt it.
