WordPress – phpbb3 one signup

I’ve been looking around at the bridging options for this topic.

I’m very keen that my users only need to sign up once.

The two I’ve looked at most, are single-sign-on (which doesnt seem to work or I’m just not getting it but it seems to have a lot of problems anyway) And wp-unitied, which seems a must better system.

However, I have very little experience with phpbb3 and I’ve found it a bit daunting.

What I after is either:

A. a really simple plugin to install, activate, and away I go (unlikely I know)
or B. a bit of insight / step-by-step guide / help into working wp-united.

Any help would be appriciated.
