WordPress only loads halfway using wifi on iphone 4s – fine on 3g

    Hi

    I have a WordPress website that I created using a template that I purchased.

    Everything was working fine, but now I’ve noticed that my website does not load over wifi on my iphone 4s using safari.

    It loads over 3 g no problem, and my web hosting is functioning ok. The website also loads fine on a laptop using the same wifi connection. It’s simply on my iphone over wifi where it begins to load the page, but then stops half way through. If you refresh the page, it then loads instantaneously. Bizarre! Obviously this is not ideal as people visiting my page on their phone may not think to refresh the page and not bother loading it if they see this issue.

    I am stumped.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Hi there. I tried all of that. There was no issues with any of the plug ins and I only have columns and super cache plugins installed anyway.

    There are 7 images. Each around 60kb to load in a slider on the home page but that shouldn’t be an issue especially as the websit loads quickly when I used 3 g.

    I did try the other theme and that loaded fine over wifi so I guess it does have something to do with my website theme but I don’t understand why it would load fine under 3G which is supposed to be slower.

    I am completely stumped. Is it an issue with the iPhone itself?
