[resolved] WordPress on Main Domain and Addon Domain (3 posts)

    I've searched all over and can't seem to find what I am looking for.

    So I have 'www.main.com' with WordPress in it's own folder but with the Site Url changed so that when you go to http://www.main.com everything is there.

    I've just added an addon domain 'www.addon.com' and installed WordPress also in its own folder.

    I want to be able to go to http://www.addon.com and have its own WordPress site there. But I can't seem to get it to work. It will only run from http://www.addon.com/wordpress. http://Www.addon.com just comes up with the bluehost parked page.

    I tried following the same steps to change it as I did with http://www.main.com and it didn't work.

    Anyone have any ideas? The Multisite/Network doesn't seem to apply to what I want to do as I don't want anything as a subdirectory or subdomain.

    This is frustrating me beyond belief.

    if you have all the DNS stuff worked out for your addon domain, to route to that folder, all should be well

    However if you just added the domain, give it time.... DNS entries can take up to 24 hours I believe to propogate

    I fixed it! It works exactly like doing it for the main domain.

    I just missed the part about going back to permalinks after and basically hitting save again. Poof. Magic.

    Me = Dumb.
