I copied all files and databases from powweb to bluehost, without changes. Now, for some reason WordPress seems to be in English, while the original installation was in a different language.
what's wrong with that? the wp-config.php has not changed, and it definede a language other than english. Yet all I see from WordPress is still in English.
Any suggestions as to how it can be fixed?
Did you use one of the translation files from here? If so, did you re-apply the translation file after you moved hosts?

The file I'm using is not one of those, but it's one of the same kind.
I did not re-apply the translation. I assumed that copying the files and the databases nothing else was required. How do you do that?
If you copied the file with the rest of your WordPress installation, then it should "just work". Maybe try re-uploading your translation file?
