• This is the message i get when going to the install.php:

    Can’t select database

We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the “xxxxxxxxx database.

    Are you sure it exists?
Does the user xxxxxxxxx have permission to use the “xxxxxxxx database?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_”xxxxxxx. Could that be the problem?

I copy/pasted them from my hosting site to the config file, but it still doesn’t work.

I know for a fact that the database name is correct because I copy/pasted the right one, and at my webhost, it says “MySQL database” right on top of it.

I really don’t know what to do at this point.

Also, I’m not sure if this matters, but both my $mysql_database and my $mysql_user have the exact same name.

I replaced all the info with “xxxxx” on purpose.

I would greatly appreciate any sort of help!

    Thanks in advance!
