   WordPress was uploading images perfectly, then as requested I updated to the latest wordpress and now images wont upload properly.

   I get an error for writablity:

   Unable to create directory /usr/home/customers/name/www.site.com/www/news/wp-content/uploads/2010/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

   Now the directory is writable > if I go into the directory via filezilla I can make as many new directories in there as I like.

   Is there any reason why this has suddenly come about with the new update I did?

   Maybe WordPress needs 777 on the directory "uploads" to write in it?
   Maybe it was that before the upgrade?
