   I was wondering if there is a way to have a WP 3.0.1 network (sub-directory sites) and at the same time have upload folders on subdomains to get better speed on page load
   (http://www.techtipsgeek.com/host-images-wordpress-blog-subdomain-better-speed/6897/).

   Maybe trying setting redirects in htaccess manually for each installed site?

   Have anyone tried something like this?
