Do note that if you use their one click install process they add a $base line at the very bottom of wp-config.php that conflicts with the blog addresses, so you have to remove it.
Or install WP manually.
Well, that’s just swell. They close my topic when I ask for a good host that does subdom hosting and refer me to the hosting section. But every one I check doesn’t seem to do this. Thanks for you time Tim. I’ll check the next one on the list.
Thanks Andrea, I would manually install it anyway, but this one doesn’t seem to be an option. I’ll now check out Media Temple.
Ok, don’t know why Media Temple is listed, but I was talking to some friends and none of them had good experiences with them. Down the list I go… .

?
They still let you FTP. that’s what a manual install is.
Mods aren’t allowed to recommend hosts in the forum. 🙂 (Tim’s not a mod.)
Sorry, probably wasn’t clear. You can do a manual install, but none of the “preferred” hosts seems to support subdomains. Still looking for a good/cheap one that does this.
serint.net – cheap vps’ and quality hosts!
plusinternet, these guys are way too expensive for what I need. No way I’m going to pay for a vps.
I’ve moved the discussion over to stackoverflow because WordPress.org doesn’t seem to appreciate this discussion over here.
It’s not that we don’t appreciate it, it’s that any post discussing hosts turns into a spam magnet.
